Best of Events 2010
Kick-Point fun and football, now in its eighth year, presented its electronic football concept at the “Best of Events” in the Dortmund Westfalenhallen.
9,100 visitors came to Dortmund to visit the BEST OF EVENTS.
Trade fair visitors, exhibitors and Kick-Point GmbH were satisfied with the premiere of the international trade fair.
2009 was rather a mixed year for events. However, all signs for 2010 point towards a year of growth for football events.
The Kick-Point stand was the scene of many discussions with companies and agencies which were interested in 2010 World Cup promotions, road shows or fan parks. This was a good perspective not only against the background of the 2010 World Cup but also the 2011 Ladies World Cup in Germany and the 2012 European Cup in Poland and the Ukraine.

BoE organizer Bea Nöhre looked back on a very positive premiere in Dortmund: “We received very positive feedback from the exhibitors and visitors about our new concept for Dortmund. Our customers particularly commended the generous amount of space available and the successful distribution of the presentation stands”. The participants particularly mentioned the better overview given by the visitor channeling through halls 4, 7 and 8, including the wider aisles.

There were a total of 473 exhibitors at the fair in Dortmund with a net space of 11,500m2. This represented a huge increase compared with the World of Events which took place one year previously in Wiesbaden.

The newly created software connection between the Kick-Point electronic football goal and the internet was a novelty at the Kick-Point stand this year. In this way, the Kick-Point module guarantees a long-lasting effect for customers and audiences. Event visitors wishing to demonstrate the precision and speed of their shots were able to access their own results from a homepage in the customer’s corporate design.

The first Kick-Point football centre recently opened its doors in South Korea.

Unlike in the European event market, the Kick-Point football goals represent fixed installations in fun parks, game parks and sports centres in South Korea. The visitors use the Kick-Point football module to demonstrate their football skills. The Kick-Point measures the precision and speed of their goal shots. Players receive a certificate with their own individual performance after every completed round. All the game and participant information can be simultaneously transmitted to a homepage so all the participants can regularly access their current ranking on the internet.

Football Europe becomes Kick-Point Partner in Scandinavia

Football Europe Denmark Football Road Show

The aim of Football Europe – all about the former Danish national footballer John Helt – in Scandinavia is to generate unforgettable football experiences and football ideas at football or other events. The Kick-Point electronic football goal obviously fits perfectly into the range of products and services offered by Football Europe.
Football Europe, with its headquarters in Copenhagen, has a comprehensive football network in Scandinavia at its disposal. Football Europe has the solution for everything, ranging from concepts such as street soccer festivals, football fan parks or football road shows.
In May 2009, Football Europe in Denmark started its first football road show using the Kick-Point. The football tour will take place in 10 cities in Denmark and will include various different football attractions and event modules such as Kick-Point, football penalty walls, human table football, Speed Kick and Speed Soccer.

Kick-Point presents the electronic football goal at the world’s largest football trade fair “Soccerex” in South Africa.

Kick-Point presents the electronic football goal to the international specialist audience just before the start of the 2010 Football World Cup. The demand for German technology is high.

Kick-Point fun & football took part in the world’s largest football trade fair “Soccerex” in South Africa for the third time from 29th November until 3rd December 2009, following participation in 2007 and 2008.

The electronic football goal was used as part of a goal shooting competition on the “Free State South Africa” trade fair stand. Trade fair and congress visitors were given the chance to playfully show and measure their shooting skills on the “Free State” stand.
Additionally, teams from the premier football league such as “Celtic Bloemfontein” demonstrated their football skills with the electronic football goal.

Kick-Point attracted more than 250 participants each day, guaranteeing a high level of visitors to the trade fair stand. Volker Dingwerth, Managing Director of Kick-Point GmbH was happy about the presentation of his “invention”: “This trade fair greatly exceeded all my expectations. We have received enquiries from many of the participating countries which are interested in using the electronic football goal”.

Most of the interested parties would like to use the electronic football goal as part of public television coverage, in fan parks during the 2010 World Cup or at different World Cup football road shows. “This shows just how versatile our goal is and how uncomplicated it is to handle”, the entrepreneur from Rheine points out. “The electronic football goal can be used anywhere. All you need is the space”.

The use of the module on the internet and the ability to display all the participants and their goal shooting scores for the complete duration of the event (e.g. 30 day public viewing) on a homepage went down particularly well with the trade fair visitors. A World Cup event can be communicated more effectively and continual communication with the audience can take place this way.

Following the 2006 Football World Cup in Germany and the 2008 European Cup in Austria and Switzerland, the Kick-Point football attraction with its goal shooting competitions testing the precision and speed of goal shots will also accompany 2010 World Cup events worldwide.

Kick-Point joins Penny at the start of the season for 1. FC Köln

It was the beginning of the season for 1. FC Köln. Kick-Point joined up with Penny for the campaign “Kick your favourite product”, a campaign offered by Penny to 1. FC Köln fans at the beginning of the season using the electronic Kick-Point penalty goal.
The aim of the game was to hit the logo of one of the Penny brands shown on the monitor with a well-aimed shot at the actual football goal. Once the shooter managed to hit a logo, his prize was automatically zoomed onto the screen. The Penny promoter immediately handed the winner his prize and a Penny certificate with his individual goal shooting results.

The goal of the CocaCola / Kronen 2008 Football European Cup road show was to convey the 2008 Football European Cup to cities, regions and municipalities around Austria. It was aimed at all the people who didn’t have match tickets and whose cities/municipalities hadn’t organized their own Football European Cup fan parks. Three CocaCola / Kronen football show trucks travelled around Austria, visiting a different municipality/city every match day during the Football European Cup.
The electronic Kick-Point football goal was always there to provide football fun during match coverage and stage acts.

AC Milan adds further Kick-Point modules to its football parks

AC Milan, which has been using 3 electronic Kick-Point football goals in its football fan parks since 2004, has added 2 further football modules to its parks.

The runtics football module by the German company “malvena” can measure different running performances such as sprinting power, dribbling and turning with the ball, when connected to the Kick-Point. The English company TDR, with its football module also named “TDR”, can calculate the speed and precision with which a player passes the ball. All the modules are linked together using individual software.

The combination of these 3 football modules covers the fundamental football features such as the precision and speed of goal shots, players’ reactions, their sprinting power, their dribbling skills and the precision of their passes.

Kick-Point in the VIP sections of the 2008 Football European Cup

Following the integration of the electronic Kick-Point goals in various different event concepts such as road shows, fan parks, public viewing events etc. during the 2005 Under 20 Football World Cup in Holland and the 2006 Football World Cup in Germany, the Kick-Point football goals were also implemented during the 2008 Football European Cup in Austria, even in the VIP sections in the European Cup stadia in Vienna and Salzburg, much to the VIPs delight.
