Kick-Point fun & football enters its fourth year at Bottrop Moviepark

Kick-Point at Bottrop Moviepark

The final finishing touches are currently being put to German amusement parks. This is also the case in the Bottrop Moviepark, which will be opening its gates for the 2009 season in just a few days. Just like every year, visitors can expect new and interesting attractions and experiences. The electronic Kick-Point goal has been a permanent part of the Moviepark attractions since 2006. Visitors can measure the precision and speed of their goal shots with the Kick-Point, which is different to the classic Speed Kick or Speed Soccer.
The winner isn’t the shooter with the hardest shot but the shooter with the most precise shot.
Just like every year, participants can win great prizes at the Kick-Point at Bottrop Moviepark.

T-Mobile Austria goes on a football event tour with the Kick-Point football goal for the third year.

Kick-Point goes on a stadium tour with the T-Mobile Quiz Kick

T-Mobile Austria once again chose Kick-Point as partner during the T-Mobile Football Stadium Tour. The league sponsor T-Mobile Austria set the goal to visit a different Austrian football station every match day, in order to communicate the range of T-Mobile brands, products and services as part of the stadium events.
T-Mobile chose to use the Kick-Point Quiz option during these events. This game is not only about the precision and speed of goal shots. It also tests participants’ product and football knowledge.
A question about football or about the T-Mobile products and services appears on the screen following every successful goal shot. If the participant answers the question correctly he doubles his goal shot points.
This Kick-Point electronic goal game concept, which combines football fun with general knowledge in a playful manner, also gives the organiser the opportunity to transport its information and advertisements in a playful manner.
T-Mobile Austria used to use classic football modules such as Speed Kick and Speed Soccer before it discovered Kick-Point for its stadium tours.

First Kick-Point Football Event in South Africa

Kick-Point at the South African Corporate Soccer League

Straight after the end of Soccerex 2008, the world’s largest football congress, the Kick-Point GmbH was given the opportunity to enjoy the experience of the reactions of the South-African audience during the quarter finals of the “South African Corporate Football League” in Johannesburg.
The Kick-Point team was given an idea of the excitement with which the South African nation and its people are looking forward to the 2010 World Cup.
Players and members of the audience kept on shooting enthusiastically at the Kick-Point goal until way past sunset. According to the organizer, the Kick-Point is the consistent continuous development of the good old goal wall, Speed Kick and Speed Soccer modules.

Kick-Point electronic football goal patented

The European Patent Office granted the Kick-Point GmbH the patent for the Kick-Point electronic football goal (training and sports equipment) on 25th June 2008. The patent number issued was EP 1 457 236 B1.
In 2005, the Kick-Point GmbH had already been awarded a prize for a new business idea project by the Institute of German Industry (Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft) and presented itself to an international audience as an innovative project with a patent pending at the Hannover Fair 2005 with a 130m2 stand in Hall nr 2 – the Hall of Innovations.
The Kick-Point electronic football goal is the consequent continuous development of the good old penalty wall and the classic speed measuring systems such as Speed Kick and Speed Soccer into the multi-media-based age. The Kick-Point goal measures the precision as well as the speed of the goal shots. Each player receives a certificate with his individual goal shot results.

Kick-Point at the Soccerex 2008

Kick-Point prepares for the 2010 World Cup at the Soccerex 2008 in South Africa.
Following the Soccerex 2007, the patented Kick-Point electronic goal wall turned out to be a real crowd puller again at the Soccerex 2008, where it was part of the joint stand “Germany – The Country of Ideas” in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The aim of the presentation Germany – The Country of Ideas at the Soccerex was to present selected innovative football services and concepts from Germany to the professional world of international football expertise.
The main goal of the renewed partnership between Kick-Point GmbH and the Soccerex in cooperation with “Germany – The Country of Ideas”, was to position the Kick-Point electronic football goal in South Africa in time for the 2010 World Cup.
The responses were similar to those in 2007. The electronic football goal “Made in Germany”, used to measure the precision and speed of shots at goal was given a more than positive response.
Whilst the South African Soccerex visitors in 2007 were still searching hard for ideas for the 2010 World Cup, it became very clear during the Soccerex 2008 that those responsible for the 2010 World Cup had already defined their budgets and projects and were in search of real implementable ideas for football events. Kick-Point GmbH could react to local demand with specific offers at the football trade fair in order to equip various fan parks, public viewing venues and VIP areas with the Kick-Point goal, as it did during the 2006 World Cup and the 2008 European Cup.

Kick-Point: a great hit during public viewings at the 2008 Football European Cup

It appears as though the electronic Kick-Point football goal will be a coveted football module for events during the 2008 Football European Cup, just as it was during the 2006 Football World Cup.

The Kick-Point will represent a fundamental component in more than 20 different event concepts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, ranging from promotions to road shows to public viewing events in particular.

The Kick-Point represents a successful mix of a football module and an advertising medium which makes it so interesting for many event planners and sponsors. The module, which offers a range of 4 different goal sizes, guarantees real football fun for young and old participants. It also offers potential sponsors a broad variety of branding possibilities ranging from banner and branding advertisements to interactive advertising effects such as videos, sound and logos during the game, from printed certificates to the transfer of participant data to an individually designed homepage.
